I was browsing the web last night and ran across a little game called Minecraft. After watching some videos on YouTube about the game I thought, "How can a game with graphics straight from 1991 be THAT addicting?"
So, I played the free version and after about 15 minutes of just mucking around I decided to go ahead and buy it. Not many games run well on my crappy old Dell laptop but this one does. IT'S THE MOST ADDICTING GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED!!
If anyone else has played this game or has an account let me know because I'm still learning about the game (there's so much stuff to learn too) and any help or tips/tricks would be appreciated.
Minecraft:
Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At night monsters come out, make sure to build a shelter before that happens. It also has music by C418! So far 11,409,571 people have registered and 2,995,261 people bought the game
I highly recommend this game. _________________________________________________________

I've had minecraft since September 2010. Its a fun game and all, I'm just not very creative, so I mainly enjoy seeing what other people make. Building stuff on my own usually comes out a lot less amazing than what I saw in my head, and it's way too time consuming. _________________________________________________________

I just discovered this game and it has me really amazed. I was watching some youtube movies and somehow ended up watching one with someone playing minecraft and was blown away. Not by the blocky graphics but just at what they were doing, crazy cool. I have to try it. If I have some spare money I will buy it. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

Here's some similar indie games like minecraft on xbox live:
FortressCraft Chapter 1
This one is more popular. It has the best graphics, far surpassing even minecraft. You can build nearly anything to your hearts content. Works very well has something called relics that sort of make you a god. What I don't like is there are no creatures, you have no life so you can not die and you can build without crafting. It does have more to it though. I got real bored playing single player but with multi player it was more fun just working with others on the projects.
Total Miner: Forge
Played this one now. It is closer to Minecraft than FortessCraft is. You have a life, and you have to craft/forge everything before you can build. You can fight in this one. There aren't creatures running all over the place but there are some. Basic graphics but they work. Even tho this one is not as polished as Fortesscraft, I feel it is the better game. Not quite the real thing however.
CastleMiner
I just loaded the demo on this one. It has practically the same interface as the real Minecarft, didn't get far as the demo shuts off rather quickly.
Basically they are all rip offs but nice to try out. Now I really want to play the real minecraft on the 360, hope it comes out soon _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

I agree complete! However, Minecraft is slow on the go to get on the 360. I don't like keyboard/mouse games much. The 360 controller works ten times better for this type of game for me, so here's to hoping they bring it over to the 360 real soon. _________________________________________________________ 10% VIP Discount (Coupon Code: HQ-VIP-001 ) - Signup for web hosting at www.TweakedHosting.com/clients/aff.php?aff=004 and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
