So I've been working on this guy for quite some time. Finally finished the CAD drawings and the programming for the CNC machine.
Almost done installing all the components, just waiting on a couple small parts to come in, and should be built and ready to show
within the next 3 weeks! Leave a comment or send me an email at [email protected] if you like the prototype and are interested
in having me build you one. Almost everything can be custom from any engravings you want all the way to which ports you want accessible or what color you want.

I will either make a new post, or update this one with pictures/video of the completed portable as soon as the last few parts arrive.
Again, if anyone is interested send me an email at [email protected] with any custom information you want with yours, or any questions you have. I will be selling them in order of the email requests I get. Thanks for taking a look!
(turn around time between 2-5 weeks after ordering, depending on how long the materials take to ship)

Here are the finished CAD drawings (the pieces have already been cut on the CNC machine, exact to the thousandth of an inch)
Dimensions: Length - 16 inches
Width - 10.75 inches
Height - 3.5 inches

(Keep in mind your orders can be totally customized, but here are the most basic ports on my prototype)
Ports: 2x USB
2x 3.5mm Headphone/external speaker jack
1x Standard power chord input

Buttons (left to right): Eject, Volume Down, Power, Volume Up, Sync

Update*
After looking around all over the place I realized I was going to have to create my own buttons for the xbox...so I got started on designing them earlier today and just finished. Also I spent the whole day in the lab on saturday and actually had to make the vices and clamps (sounds a lot easier than it really is...lots of machining involved for such simple stuff) so I finished the first piece of the four...I wont post too many pictures since I am going to make a new post when everything is done but here are a couple. Also there was one mistake I made in the programming which made the left and right sides of this piece different sizes by a tenth of an inch, but no worries its an easy fix.

That looks pretty damn cool! Any estimate on the cost or what the battery life would be?

I'm still thinking about the price because other ones with this quality are very expensive...but I actually want people to be able to afford mine. But I'll figure it out soon enough.

About the battery life. It isn't actually battery powered because if it were the battery would weigh as much as the whole thing already does, and it would cost a couple hundred dollars just for the battery and with the amount of juice the Xbox and LCD take together would give practically no play time per charge. So I've just put a standard power cable input on the back of the system so all it takes is one cord (basically like a laptop except it doesn't hold a charge). Anywhere there is an outlet nearby, this will be fully functional.

Heres the only cord you would need.

do you have actual pictures of the prototype and that are not google ones with like your username on here in them pictures other wise i doubt you will get any interest 1 being your new to the site 2 you could be a scammer so as of now i am locking this topic tell you provide actual proof of the item you are trying to sell with some type of prototype that you talk about with your user name in it. Please private message me or any other mod or admin with the link to the pics then your topic will be unlocked if you try to post other post with this you will get warning then banned if it keeps going untell there is proof.

Not trying to be a a-hole or anything but there has been many scammer's in the past and i dont want to see any members on here get scammed out of there hard earned money.

Thanks and have a good day take care

Scarface

Thank you for unlocking.

Let me just clear something up before I get anymore criticism from new forums and people I'm visiting.

I have spent over 80 hours working on this CAD drawing and measuring every single piece inside the Xbox 360 with a digital caliper accurate to the thousandth of a millimeter to make sure that this case and any other case I make in the future is absolutely perfect. All the modding for the Xbox 360 and LCD is completely done, BUT since it has taken me so long to draw and design the case...I haven't been able to machine it yet! Right now all thats left in this project is finishing the programming for the CNC machine so the plastic can be machine and turned into this case. So all I'm doing is telling people about the project and my work, and I have absolutely no intention on selling anything anywhere on the internet without making a video of everything I've done. But like I said since the case has not been machined yet, what real pictures can I post!? This drawing of it is exactly what it will look like (except for the color) to the hundredth of a millimeter. So I hope everyone is okay looking at these pictures until the case is complete.

Also just a little something to prove I did these drawings until I make a video...take a look at the last picture at the bottom left. You'll see a Google chrome window thats minimized and all you can read is "Pictures by Jacob_A". Well thats my Photobucket account (hence my name...Jacob Auerbach) which I was using to post these pictures to the forum after taking the screen shots while using AutoDesk Inventor.

Hope that this clears any confusion up, and sorry for the rant. It's been a long day! Smile

Hi ThatGoogleGuy,

Great job on the case as i mentioned in your xbox-hq.com thread.. Smile You have gone all out, and it looks so professional, i love it. It actually reminds me alot of Ben Heck who does xbox 360 laptops for THQ etc. Anyway, thx for posting and hope you get loads of feedback on your project.

Forahobby,
Thanks for all the positive feedback! It really makes me feel like the hard work is already paying off just by getting compliments. I really can't be any more anxious than I already am to finish this project. The programming for the CNC machine has a bit of time left, but as soon as I finish the first thing on my list is to make a video to show everyone!
