I've been trying to read up on how to do this online and I'm kind of confused....

I've read that you can download the update files on a formatted USB (which I have one) and then using XEX Menu you can put them in a CACHE file....

is this possible?

and my other question is where would you put them in the CACHE file at...in the downloaded games CACHE somewhere or where, I'm kind of lost and if someone could help me I'd greatly appreciate it...thanks guys

Alright, I'm also a little confused by what you mean by "Roster Updates". Although if you can find the game update online, download it. There should be a folder with a Hexadecimal code, an example is CODE9999 which you may recognize. If that folder already exists just look for the file that you downloaded in the folders, then transfer it over to the hard drive and thats all. It has nothing to do with the cache. Well, it does slightly. But yeah, do that and tell me how it goes.

sir i wish i had your knowledge of all this, lol

by roster updates I mean like on madden or nba 2k11 when you can update the roster after trades or free agent signing ect. that happen in the real nfl or nba..hope I made more sense there...

so I should download the rosters online?
cpl more questions..

do I download them to my formatted usb?
do I need to extract the files before putting them on my usb?
once I get the above parts right then I go into xexmenu?
if xexmenu is where I should go then where do I put the files on the usb (what area of xexmenu?)

I've looked for tutorials for this all over the internet and have pretty much turned up nothing and that is why I decided to come to these forums

Okay, too be honest. I'm still confused, although just answer my one question. Are you talking about a game update (for game bug fixes, etc) or are we speaking of a game add-on (extra maps/game types, new items, etc). Game add-on's often cost MS Points also.

you are looking for roster updates you can download them from any website and you put them in the content/00000000 folder or something like that. its pretty simple after you do it the first time.

The file you have gave me is a CON (Container) file. This looks like a game save to me... Do you have a XPort, XSata or even a 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit? If you do, use XPort360 to navigate through the "0000000000000000" folder and find Madden NFL 2011. Once you found it, keep opening the folders inside of the Madden NFL 2011 folder until you find the gamesave file. I'm guessing you would just transfer it into there and you should be set.
