This is what I call: "going back to the basics"
I am new with JTAG and unfortunately a JTAG 360 is not like modded Xbox1, you can ruin your JTAG pretty easy.
SO here it is some questions:
1-) Games that have dashboard update need to be ripped and the system update removed in order to play right?
2-) What are the must have applications for JTAG (specially the one that it is used to extract the games from the .iso)
3-) Does it needs any special way to install the Kinect sensor? When you hook it up the first time it ask you to install somekind of update to your console.

I know little but this is what i do know:
1) Yep, never update the xbox from a game, it could take away the jtag capability. Better still, rip the game on your comp and use iso2god to create game on demand files and ftp it over. Won't ask you for updates if it's installed ( i don't think)
2)Quickboot is good. Will create icons in the game menu to boot applications you put on the hard drive, i.e. FBANext, Mame360
FBANext is a classic game emulator. It's still in Beta but supports alot of games. Mame360 is outdated but will support some games FBANext will not.
Dashlaunch and the Ping Patch. I'm looking into that myself at the moment to try and fully understand it. But basically it will let you play XLink Kai without any probs.
FreeDash, a custom dashboard. They are just writing a new one, should wait for that, it has some nice custom views, better than NXE Dash.
You need FreeDash or XEXMenu installed to enable ftb functionality, as you can only do it when one of those pograms is running.
3)Don't think you can use kinect yet, definately don't update. Will have to flash the new dash rather than update and freeBoot will launch it.
There will be other stuff, i'm sure someone else will add to the list. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.
3) About Kinect, yes you can! Just yesterday a new rebooter was created for the new Kinect dashboard! Although the method of building your NAND is a bit different than before! _________________________________________________________

I found in IRC that Kinect works with the new freeboot as long as you are using DashLaunch 2.04 _________________________________________________________
