i have a av cable that has the switch to switch from tv to hd. i have always used it with it on hd, but for some reason now it will not work. if i switch it over to tv and used just the red, yellow, white combo, it works fine. on hd, it only has sound and no pic. never had this problem b4....any suggestions as to y it is doin that?

maybe a pin is broke or bent maybe???sounds like a pin connection prob champ..try cleanin it up n make sure its all straight n stuff..let us know how you go...goin to research for ya now..

didnt see any of them bent. i wonder if it might be something in the switch itself.....oh well. ill just break down and get another i guess. =)

Make sure they are hooked up right on the back off the tv.
Test on another tv to see if it works on that one if so then its the problem with your tv if not then it is that cable hopefully and not something to do with the 360 itself.

found out that the cable is fine....took my tv to a buddies house and used my cable to hook is 360 up, and it worked fine...i didnt check the pins on the xbox itself, so ill have to take a look at that and see if any are bent.

checked the pins on the xbox, but they all looked fine....anyone got any other suggestions?

Try using a qtip with rubbing alcohol on it and cleaning the connector port with it. Most of the time connection problems are due to a over accumalation of dust and grime. Hope this helps! Very Happy

at this point im willing to try anything. =) going from HD to SD just looks really odd lol. i will try that out and let you know what i find out. thanks
