I would eject the drive first to determine what brand of drive it is. Iprep or jungle flasher should work ok as long as it's not one of the new drives _________________________________________________________ HQ Network:

BENQ.. oh good.. I would suggest you download "IPREP" and installing it on your pc..
Iprep will let you create a bootable USB stick/drive with all the required files including firmware etc.. Then basically all you need to do is to boot the USB stick and then follow the onscreen prompts.
IMPORTANT:
You must have a compatible SATA chipset.
any other questions just ask away mate, ill do my best to reply.

BenQ in a 3 month old 360??? Its probably a lite-on, they have the same looking dvd trays as the BenQ i do believe. You'll have to open it up to be 100%.
The way you used to tell was take off the face plate, and under the dvd tray to the right there is a little hole. Through the hole you can see a wire and if it's yellow its a lite-on, if it's white its BenQ.
I could be wrong but they only make 360's with lite-on's now. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

most probably a liteon drive like DIV mentioned..
If you are going to mod it anyway just rip it open and you will soon determine what drive you have.
Im not doing mine, i'm leaving mine as Microsoft intended...
i'm not going to get band again
So i'm just being carefull with my real disks.
Thanks for all the help guys. _________________________________________________________

Hey,
Just to add to this topic:
I'm positive i read that the brand new liteon drives can't be flashed.. Don't quote me on that but maybe do some reading to see what you can find.
You don't want to go and pull it all apart just to find its not currently flashable etc..
I got a lite-on drive in one of my 360's about 6 months back and i was lucky enough to be able to backup and flash with a connectivity kit but just check into it man.
