is the HDD and DVD drive in 360's considered SATA II. Im trying to figure out what kind of adapater or cable i need to hook up the 360 hardware via eSATA.

Well the DVD drive is SATA. The HDD is technically SATA, but the connector is very different from a normal SATA cable, so it wouldn't work.
