Posted: Sun Oct 30, 2005 11:20 pm Post subject: Played Xbox 360 at Wal-Mart today my thought's.....
Ok i went today to wal mart not to play the 360 but they happend to have it xD.
I got to play Kameo and call of duty i didn't get to play King Kong for some reason the demo wouldn't load when i went to play demo a black screen poped up and the 360 button would work either so i hit reset and played the others. I was more impressed then what i was expecting.
(Dashboard) This is the first thing i go for to try and find Kameo but the kid before me had COD2 going so i try and hit the dash button and it says something about i cant do this (think it was cause it was a demo) so i quit the demo from the game menu's and find Kameo the Dash looks nice btw but didn't check it out wanted to be more surprised at xmass when i get it myself anyway on to the game's....
(Controller) It seemed way smaller then the new and old xbox controller's which was better but what i didn't like is the joysticks they are way smaller which was a bad thing but i guess ill get used to it. the start and back button should of stayed on the left but i guess it was swicthed this way for look's oh well overall it was ok controller for now alot better shaped.
(Kameo) was running pretty well and looked better then I've seen in pic and video's which kinda surprised me. i didn't play it but like 1 min tho but i just wanted to see how good it played out.
(Call of Duty 2) looked great looked as good a pc shooter would even the resolution of it! and the game handled so much on screen which kinda surprised me.
I do wanna point out tho there was a lot of jaggies on both game's but i think this is cause the tvs aren't set right and sense there plasma's it's easy to notice jaggie's. but trust me this will look a lot better on my 31 inch normal tv <yes i said normal tv> since the kiosk are basically pc monitors and not really home tv set's.
My Final thought tho is that i went to the kiosk's when i seen it all ready to exspect just a great looking xbox 1 game which this isn't the case NO xbox game can run tho's game at that great of a FRAMRATE! i only played each game for about a minute tho since i like to let others behind me waiting play and not hog the console like a lot of 9 year old' do.
Sounds pretty good....I think I might have to go to my local wal mart and see if they have one I can play....I still have not made up my mind whether or not to get the system in a few weeks so I think playing it before hand would help me out....Later. _________________________________________________________ Xbox V1.6

I saw it at Wallyworld too, got to play COD a minute or so, too many people wanting to play so I let them and just watched mostly.
I can say this it looks way better than my PC But my PC ain't that much (AMD 2400+ 512 MB w/ Asylum Nvidia FX 5200 256MB) but it is enough to beat my Xbox.
I think I will forgo this generation of PC in leu of a 360 I will use it for games then get a new PC when the 360 is about half way through its lifespan.
I think $499 is a fair price considering how good it looks compared to what a PC would cost that would look as good. _________________________________________________________

I just went back to the same walmart and it was pretty empty so i got to mess with the 360
COD2 : played htis more and it had framerate hickup's on the jeep ride when looking behind you after that od idnt really see much more my brother beat the demo tho i didn't play it cause i play inverted and i couldnt change it >.< i didnt wacth him beat the whole thing tho.
Kameo : same as before i didnt play it much i was kinda confused and didnt wanna keep looking up ill play it if i get it.
"New" Hexic HD : looked at it didnt like it was way to non graphic and the icon wasnt even detailed i figured it atleast be details oh well.
Dashboard : well it's way to limited on the kiosks couldnt change display mode like people told me to try and demo kiosks didn allow u to use the guide button.

i played call of duty 2 at EB today. wow. i am definatley impressed. i didnt think it would be as good as it was(xbox360) either. actually i thought it would suck. i left the store regreting that i hadnt pre orderd one.
just standing there, playing, i was actually trying to dodge grenades! thats when i realized how much fun i was having. i felt like how i did when i first played halo online. i actually played for five or so minutes being uninpressed. then, yah,... i noticed i was leaning away from the screen, dodging bullets and saw how much was going on. the ai had some really nice touches but it wasnt perfect. the movement wasnt either. but still briliant. i dont have the patients to sit here and type so ill just say get it! xbox360 rocks!

I played the 360 at a gamestop before work. I got to play Call Of Duty 2,Kameo, and King Kong, i was impressed. The demos kicked ass. People actully beleived they were in COD 2 because they were physically trying to look over a wall and dodging bulltes. The particle effects on COD 2 are so amazing, smoke actually looks like smoke and blinds the player a bit. Kameo was alot better than i expected and it is very fun. King Kong was the buzz arround the mall. Everyone wanted to play it and people were wowed when they played King Kong. I gave it a try and that game is good, lighting is stunning among other things. I played NFMW at IGN Live and that game was off the chains. Im really happy to my 360 very soon now. The only issue i noticed was on King Kong, when someone button smash in game when the T-Rex was trying to kill King Kong, the game had a major frame rate drop. But no biggie since it aint the final build for the game.
What are the quality of the display monitors you guys are playing on?

just played at Walmart aswell. played through the entire call of duty demo and it was amazingly detailed. i tried the king kong demo but the guy died trying to open the door and then i died trying to punch the t-rex int he nuts. so i gave up on that game, although it was another graphically stunning game.
ps. the moniter i played it on was a widescreen hi def monitor
