Hello,
It has been a very longtime from the last time I have posted in this fourm. I know a few things about an Xbox, but not the 360 model. I was in the store the other day and started talking to the sales rep at EB games. Seems the new models have a warranty on both major issues on the 360 platform. I stayed away from them because of this, but if it is covered then I might go buy a unit.
Which system should I buy and why (Arcade, Pro...etc)?

It doesn't matter what system you buy they are basically the same hardware, the only main difference is the storage. If you want to download demos, play on live, download add-ons for games i would go with a pro so you have the space.
Pretty much all of the new consoles are going to be falcons or jaspers so the chances of them breaking are GREATLY decreased. Check out this guide to hunt one down here
I have 2 falcons and have never had problems, the major thing is to just keep it in an open space with lots of airflow.
If you find a jasper that is great, buy that one. If not a falcon should last you. Just make sure you register your console when you buy it and if it does ever break you have a warranty on it that lasts for a good amount of time.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
Best Regards,

Great info there and thank you. I will read the guide to understand the versions out. I did read back in the early days that you could install a normal HDD and flash it to run like the OEM unit. Can this still be done today or did xbox install an update to fix that?
I will read up on the helpful links now...thanks again. _________________________________________________________ The mighty V6 Passat came to chew bubble gum and kick%^* and shes all out of bubble gum!

I know you can do that, but it requires a hard drive shell, and then a key that is unique for every 360 hard drive, and it is unknown if M$ will ban based on two going online at once.
