Nope there is only one version of the BenQ. Should work out just fine for you.

Buddy,

As long as you get a firmware backup from the dvdrom drive you wont have any dramas.. Once you have a backup even if you brick the drive you can easily just buy a replacement drive and flash it with your unique key!

Its that simple!

let us know how you go..

I would suggest using iprep 101 for newbs.

I have never heard of that program personally. I would use with extreme caution.

Actually I've been mod for a while now. I just became an admin though. Need to get my sig updated the next time robbyboy gets on.

I use a VIA 6421A card just because my motherboards SATA ports aren't compatible. Also you can try Jungle Flasher, works good from my experiences.

So if your motherboard SATA is supported great use it, if not use the VIA. If you already have a VIA card use it anyways as it is simple.

Best Regards,
Frozenfire1

yeh, as long as your SATA chipset is compatible you wont need the addon card.. I had to get one myself and was well worth the $5 including delivery.. lol
