I understand that you the 360 enables the feature of installing games directly to the HDD which is awesome. However i also understand, in confusion, that you still need the Disk to play the installed games since only "certain" files are copied to the HDD.

Does this mean the 360 does not install the Executable files that launches the games? (ie. .XBE files for XBOX 1)

So if not then, perhaps the Xplorer program can "Fully" install the entire game to the HDD with the use of DVD Decrypter, to extract the DVD Contents to my computer, then transfer those ripped files to Xplorer? Or does the 360 not recognize ripped games since the DVD Decrypter doesnt accurately copy all Bytes in order. So like for the XBOX 1 and PS2 theres a certain Image Skip in the CD that DVD Decrypter cannot duplicate?

The whole game goes onto the HDD but to start the game the xbox checks the game code or something on the disc before it boots off the HDD.

Something like that. Don't remember for sure but there is something it has to check on the disc before it will boot.

The only thing you could do is mod the dashboard so it doesn't check for the code on the disc. That would be hard though and you wouldn't be able to go onto live, etc.

Ahhh yes that is very true. If "they" were able to work around Backups using firmware or stealth patches, do you think you could work around to the dash?

Yet again, if we can mod the dash, that could easily be detected.
If this is not possible, then flashing is alright with me.

Im getting irritated. My cousin and I both shared money to get a 4000 Microsoft Point Card (we split half and half) and in the proccess we downloaded arcade games, game addons, and themes to his HDD. Now is it possible to hookup his HDD to my computer and use Xplorer to look through the contents and copy them to my computer? Im trying to connect my HDD and copy them to mine. I know this is not allowed, obviously, but if this is against the rules then forgive.
