What happens when you turn it on, are the lights still green?

What about the power supply is it orange when off and green when on?

Any more information you can think of will help us help you

Also did you open it up yet? does it still have warranty?

Best Regards,
Frozenfire1

It sounds like the ana/hana chip went out. I remember on the xbox.com forums a year ago or so they had a whole thread on this. The xbox starts up just fine with no errors but you only hear sound, no video. If I remember correctly it was the ana/hana chip that went out.

If it is that then your 360 is broke. If you have warranty send it back to microsoft. If you don't then you either have to pay M$ to fix it or buy a new console.

wait so are pretty much all consoles out of warranty now? Because if Microsfot extended the warranty to 3 years, I have not had my 360 for 3 years yet, when i registered it on xbox.com it says it's out of warranty now. Jerry Seinfeld "What's the deal with that?"

Microsoft is a little messed up in that way, if you don't register your console as soon as you get it then they go by the manufacture date (usually months before you even get it) I had to prove I bought it when I did to get mine fixed (send in a copy of my receipt). I STRONGLY recommend you always register your console as soon as you get it.

Also as for the warranties it is 3 years for Red Ring of Death and 1 year for everything else. So as long as you register when you get it you get that time added on to that.

Best Regards,

Yep, that's why it is always good to register your electronics, and keep receipts forever and the box for at least two weeks to a month.

90 day warranty after you have it refurbished, no matter what. I remember the rep saying that to me when the laser went under warranty. Another said it for a 3 light repair. Ya, they burn you in the end, cuz they don't want to see it again. They start to lose too much money that way.
I'd try the x-clamp fix with the heat gun method before writing it off. Look at it this way, if it's broken you can't break it more Shocked
