The largest HDD you can put into a xbox 360 right now is a 120 gig HDD. You can only put 120 gigs in because of the sector 16 you use to make the HDD. On sector 16 it tells the xbox how big the HDD can be, and the largest one out right now is the sector 16 off a MS stock 120 gig HDD. _________________________________________________________

thanks for that, its put my mind to rest.
You can however use and sized FAT32 FORMATTED USB HDD or memory stick to store your movies, music, pictures etc on and watch them directly via your xbox 360 in HD 1080.
I currently use a WESTERN DIGITAL MY BOOK 500gb USB drive with my xbox 360 and it works out of the box without the need for formatting unless you want to break the 4gb filesize limit.
I watch all my favortie shows direct from USB hdd which are in DIVX or XVID format.. Just thought id add that.
