I have finished the game on Hardcore and reached lvl 50 in the process giving me both hard core and lvl 50 achievements. I have started a new game, and uploaded the same character from my last game (my lvl 50= guy)so I can go for the lvl 60 achievement. When the new game started and got past the intro and I am standing on the ships deck, I then went to options and moved the game difficulty from hardcore (which it was set default because of my previous game) to insanity lvl.

I know I will get the lvl 60 achievement fine, but I am curious if I can still get the Isanity lvl completion achievement this way.

Will I get the achievement by using same character with his all his lvl and equipment from the hardcore game or do I have to do insane dificulty starting with a brand new lvl 0 character?

to get achievement for a lvl dificulty you can at no time in the game change the dificulty. But as soon as the game starts I am at hardcore and have to manualy change it to insane. I am worried that the game will note that part of the game was set at hardcore and not give me the insane achievement.

If anyone knows for sure if using my hard core guy on the insane game will work and has done this, Please post, And let me know if you had to manualy change it to insane from hardcore only after the intro and where you are on the ships deck at begining of game.

I dont want to hit lvl 60 then keep playing for hours and hours and not get the insane achievement.

Hey I don't know for sure I don't think there is an option to change it in the main menu is there? I think the only way is when you start it says what level you want it on doesn't it? I'm on 49 and will try and find out for you, just play through mate, it's quick if you don't do all the side misisons. I'm in the process of doing that now Mad it's so annoying.

Ya I dont remember if I had an option to choose difficulty before actualy being put in the game the first time round. But when I use my character I have already used on hard core and start new game there is no way to choose dificulty untill you get through the intro and you finely get to control shepard for the first time, I put it on insane before I even took a step with the guy so hopefuly that will work. I am playing straight through doing no side missions and am at lvl 56 right now and about half way through, but im not sure if I will hit lvl 60 before end of game, to go from lvl 56 to 57 is like 50,000 points, so I cant imagine what 59-60 is going to take, I might have to play through a 3rd time lol, if so no big deal, I have the best armor you can get on all 3 of my characters and the best weapons, I used the armor cheat glitch so all my guys could wear the heavy armor, I think it is called collosis x, the lvl 10 heavy red armor.
when I finish insane I will post to let you guys know if it works. Ill probobly post it as a note on the achievements section as well.

Ok just finished and It did indeed give me the Insane achievement, but did not get enough points to get to lvl 60, Started this new game on insane at lvl 50, finished just reaching lvl 58.
It will take an entire new game to reach lvl 60, the lvling was as such

56-57 50k points
57-58 80k points
58-59 120k points
I expect 59-60 will run about 200k, so I need about 320,000 points more.
I was curious if you can get past lvl 60, I still have quite a few spots left in my characters chart to upgrade. Or if 60 is the limit.
