I have recently purchased one of those charge and play kits. The battery is great, i charge it up and can use it without the lead plug in for at least 5 hours, it's amazing.

Anyway, has anyone opened up the battery to see if you can put a decent one in there or are you just better off buying some rechargable ones that you plug in the wall to charge. I'm not worried about the battery running out while i'm playing, i don't really play online. Will other rechargables last longet than the charge kit ones?

I have the default xbox 360 re-chargable batteries with a play and charge kit, I would highly recommend these. I get around 20+ hours with a full charge, and you can play while charging too in case your batteries die, so no worries

Hell yeah the nyko charge station is the bomb when it comes to battery life capacity! And if one starts running down no biggie just switch it with the other one that is on the charger. Best investment I have made in a long time and it has paid for itself 100 times over! Very Happy

ya if you pay for the plug and charge kit you might as well go the extra $10 or so and get the nkyo charge station cus i remember playing for more then 24 hours one time and i think i still had good battery put it on the charger before i finally went to bed ha. But i have both the Plug and play charge kit but me myself i dont like wires dangling around after useing the wireless it seems the best solution would be the nkyo charge station unless you dont have enough to get it then go for the plug and play one.

Well i ended up buying 4 Uniross 2700 mAh rechargable AA batteries. I have had them for about a week now and they are still going strong.

I strongly recommend to anyone who is going to buy the plug and play kit to not bother and buy something decent instead. It is handy to have the lead that plugs into the controller but that doesn't justify buying it.

m0nsterboy uses the wirless charge station.. Its good.
I just use the standard M$ charge kit.

I used to have good quality AA rechargables but i play way too much and they were dying constantly.. As soon as i got the proper recharge pack it lasted much longer.

just thought id let ya know.
