Okay well I am a 49th level archer and have all my major skills maxed to master aka 100. I am working on my minor skills right now to level up but it is taking forever. Even when I get close to mastering a minor skill the to next level indicator barely moves. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can level faster?? I am hoping to at least reach 50 before closing the final oblivion gate and starting shivering isles. Or will shivering isles help me level faster? Should I start shivering isles and leave the final gate open for now? Thanks for your input on this matter. _________________

Hi,
I forget what level I am, but it does take forever to up level the higher you get. It also seems to me that the leveling up will stop. I do not believe minor skills crease the main character level. At least I have not witnessed this.
The Shivering Isles is cool. I really did enjoy them. I completed them 100%. Quite frankly, your level is not a big deal there. I am like super man and only in the level somewhere around the level 35. Nothing but 50 foes at once can hurt me. A powerful weapon is the key.
If you are an Archer mainly, I can see where it gets a little more tricky, if your surrounded. So try and build another weapon skill for the times being an archer is hard.
I say go ahead and do the Shivering Isles. Its a blast!. Plus you will acquire more experience. Save the big bad Oblivion Gate for last. That's what would do. Have fun man however you play it! _________________ 10% VIP Discount - Signup for web hosting and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

Hey do you know if the main character level increases at all from minor skills?
If so I will be happy. _________________ 10% VIP Discount - Signup for web hosting and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!

Or you could just do like i do and duplicate strong potions of healing. You'll never have to worry about dieing then.
If i was you i'd beat the final gate and then go to shivering isles (thats just me though). _________________

Sorry to say but your main level ONLY increases from major skills, however your minor skills will give you a modifiers on stat upgrades each time you level up. (for example strength) But 49 is probably the highest your going to hit rebelcharm, it takes A LOT of planning to get higher though and I would be very proud with 49 (my highest is around 20)
for a way to plan out a high level character, or to see how high you can get yours enter some stuff into this
Thanks guys for all the info. I am working on the mage's quest and then it is off to shivering isles and order of the nine. _________________

A cool item for you at shivering.... If I remember correctly. There is a shop there that a woman runs, its more of a museum, she has all kinds of artifacts in glass cases, I started going threw the cases ( stealing ) and found a ring, if you put the ring on it will allow you to both walk on water and breath underwater. Handy for skin diving for those underwater ingredients and taking shortcuts. you basicly walk on water, and if you move forward and look down you will start to swim then dive, look up to surface and go back to walking on water.
I assume you know how to do the duplication using scrolls and the trick to store all your items inside your horse? _________________ "BUT YOUR HONOR,...GTA IV MADE ME DO IT!" http://www.coasttocoastam.com

I don't know how to do the store all your stuff in the horse thing. How do you go about doing that? _________________

Also another question. I have a soul stored in a soul gem and the game says you can use that soul to fight for you but never tells you how. Anyone know how to make the trapped soul fight for you? Thanks again guys. _________________

Well after completeing all the missions for the Dark Brotherhood, Shadowmere is given to you by Lucien Lachance, Shadomere ( the black horse ) is an important character and can not die, but can be knocked out, while she is unconscious, just like a dead character you can click on her to to take items, or in this case place items just like you would in a chest. she will eventualy wake up and be ready to go again and not even be pist at you. when you get low on supplies or need a specific heavy item you just knock her out again and take/place what you need.
Below is a cut and past from wikipedia on a warning about bugs and placing armor on your horse............
However, attacking Shadowmere can cause some bugs unless you have the latest patches installed.
If you're using Shadowmere for storage, and you have the Horse Armor Pack plug-in installed, you should remember to remove all of your valuables from Shadowmere before equipping her with armor (or altering her type of armor). The armored versions of Shadowmere are each technically a different horse, and you will lose all your stuff if you don't remove it from her first. If you are on the PC, you can enable the original Shadowmere using the enable command (see previous note for details).
Be careful about storing potions inside Shadowmere. When in battle, Shadowmere's AI will attempt to make use of any useful items in her inventory, which means that she may drink any potions.
Shadowmere is not included in the "Horses Owned" statistic on the stats page in game.
Ya, dont put booz in her or she just may decide to drink it up and you may have a drunk horse on your hands lol.. ( dont know if that is so )
was going to post a video of the process for you but cant seem to find one on youtube.
As far as soul gems, I did not use them much at all when I played, but from what I have read, you trap a soul in a soul gem then use that (charged gem) like a battery to recharge your items that have magic power that gets used up when you use it. I know there are scrolls you can buy or (dup) that when used summon creatures that will fight for you. is this what you might be refering to? If so I baught or found some expensive scrolls with good powerful creatures and duped them like 100 times and let them take care of my light work.

My life almost never dwindles for my charactor. It rejuviates fast and I have almost unlimited health spells and casing abilities. My mgihtly sword also helps.
Sadly a friend of mine used the dup trick and then lost interest in the game. I didn't do it because of him.
I just think it is so interesting how differently everyone can play the game. There's no right way and there's wrong way. Unless, the the game glitches and everyone in the entire game attacks you at once then it could be wrong to run for the hills naked! _________________ 10% VIP Discount - Signup for web hosting and earn the HQ network of sites recurring income!
