I have ordered NASCAR 08, and while i've been waiting, i've been playing the demo over, and over. I'm alright at the game, as used to realism as i play forza, but i can't seem to get the hang of bump-drafting. I have been bump-drafted by the coms, and have driven in the outside view to see how they're doing it, but it looks very similar to me, so i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong- i just get lots of smoke, and both me and the other car go slower. Can anyone help me?
Yeah, i found that video too. And i thank you for posting, but based on the power of the hit, i think (s)he has damaged turned off, cause if i hit them that hard, then they get smoke pour off the car in front and it slows down. Although admittidly i am trying this at Daytona, which is banked, even on the straights.
To answer forahobby's question, bump-drafting is when you get in the slipstream of the car in front, close in on them and push them, you both go faster, and is often used in NASCAR, to give tem-mates the win.
