Sooo.... I fried my 360 a few months ago trying to flash the DVD drive FW and it's been sitting pretty....useless for the past few months. How can I fix it? or can it be fixed.....

from what i remember i did the wire jumper trick with the dvd drive and used birdys flash to flash the fw... then my bro came along and screwed around with a hex editor and when i returned the dvd drive wouldnt open and it wont do anything at all.

Do you have the original firmware still? If so you can buy replacement drives. I seen one that was 19 bucks.

no. i dont have the original fw. my bro screwed it all up. is there some place i can send it to get a new drive and maybe get it fixed? or will a chip be my only solution?

Could tell M$ it just donsn't work anymore and that it was working one day then all of a sudden just crapped out...chances are they will repair it...just be vague with what you tell them (they are far east people anyways)
