Now if you don't own Oblivion I highly suggest you get it. And if you do have it I suggest you get most, if not all, of the mods/add-ons for it. With the next add-on Shimmering Isles (thats what I think it is called) it is said to add at least 10 hours to the game.

For a game that that you beat in days (not hours like some) 10 hours might not seem like much. When you get in depth into Oblivion you won't want to stop.

The ones I would suggest if you are not going to get all of them are: Knights of the Nine, The Wizard's Tower, Mehrune's Razor, and Spell Tomes. Grand Total 1280 Microsoft points.

To purchase all mods/add-ons you will be forking out close to 1780 Microsoft points. I have them all and I think they are worth every penny.

I have to say that I agree 100 percent. I bought Oblivion the day it came out and am still playing it. I get new games and they are like nice but then I find myself back on Oblivion.

If you really play the game if is well over a hundred hour game. I have every add-on to Oblivion and can't wait for more. Cheers!

I seen you playing oblivion today and had a laugh to myself..
You obviously do love it.. heheh

There are so many games you could be playing yet your still playing oblivion.. That tells me its kick ass but you have to be into that type of game too.

Been thinking on buying the game, after seeing your post did some reading and it seems that it is indeed a great game. I played it for a few hours on my pc awhile back, but since then haven't touched it. Thanks for the heads up on which addons are worth getting.

oh man the pc version is great if you have a high end pc, and use a 360 controller...but playing it on the xbox is different. It adds alot of fun to the works of it because of not having to adjust your graphics display properties everytime you went into the GREAT FOREST....

it truly is an amazing game, but i do wish it had the amount of addons as the PC oblivion has...that would be AWESOME....

Yea thats one of the drawbacks to consoles I think. Would be nice if they let consoles have the freedom that pc's do when it comes to user content. Maybe in the future we will witness this. I just Lost Planet, and Armored core 4 is coming out soon, but after these two titles, oblivion is next on my list. Thanks for the heads up deps.

Just an update: Shimmering Isles (which is reported to hit the market place the 27th) is adding 10 more achievements to Oblivion bringing the total gamer points to 1250. This also breaks the myth that games can only have 50 achievements.

Thanks for posting this. This makes me really happy. Where you hear this? Now the huge add-ons have more worth sort-of-speak.

I just can't decided if I'll buy the retail version or just get it on xbox live.

Forahobby, your right this game is right up my ally as was Morrowind on the old xbox. Someday we'll have this sort of game on live on the 360 and that will be a great day indeed.

I too would like all the mods on the PC plus you can make your own. There are some really incredible mods on the PC. I may get the PC version too just to see them.

Ok I just finished the Shivering Isles add-on main quest. For a whooping 2,400 MS points, I have to say it was a tad short. It works along the lines of a Guild quest where you are given ranks for doing certain quests. None of them are overly challenging.

I would suggest getting this game if you love, not just like, Oblivion. If you are a Gamerscore whore who wants 100% in your games (I'll admit to this one). If you are neither of the two I'd say avoid it. It's not really a must have.

Yeah, I just briefly tried it out last night and I like it. I do think the price is steep. The quest is not small and there is a nice sized piece of land to explore. Like he said, if you have a super hero character it will be a breeze. Remember, they said it would also accommodate a new character so really was not supposed to be hard. You could just up your hardness slider if you want a real challenge.

So yes you can wipe thru this in a jippy but if you are like me and like to explore everything it will take longer than 30 hours. I have spent over almost 300 hours in Oblivion and my character is crazy tough. I just don't play for the achievements but I like them as a reward. Cheers! Just my thoughts on it.
