hi everybody

hopefully someone can help me... i need to know if my dvd burner is compatible for burning backup games. I have a pioneer DVR-110D 1.19 burner. Im assuming the 1.19 is the latest firmware that i flashed to the drive. Im about to order the fractal modchip and install it. i will post a tutorial on the install when i get it. Any help with the dvd burner would be great

Barry

I have backed up 360 games with several different types of burners without an issue. I think that quality media (i.e Verbatim) is more important than the brand of burner. As long as your burner burns DL discs you should be fine.

The only thing I can suggest is going to HP's website and making sure you have the latest firmware for your burner that they have for it.

We should start a thread and keep track of what are good combinations of dvd discs and burners to use.

Actually for most older firmwares the backups have to be in DVD+R DL meaning dual layer DVD+R, some newer firmwares currently only out for the Samsung drive, Xtreme 5.x can boot off of specially made Single Layer DVD+R, but over all it's DVD+R
