just got my Xbox360 Very Happy well pleased, got PGR3 & saints row so far

gonna get Xbox live again, used to have it on the normal Xbox, but i sacked it off in the end cos i was sick of trailing a cable from the computer room upstairs to my living room every time i wanted to play on it

i see that you can get wireless now for the 360

any good? what are the pros & cons?

cos its wireless does that mean you can have connection probs?

thanks lads

Very Happy

Personnaly i never got on with wireless in my house, it kept dropping the connection. This may have been down to my network, as my media server keept dropping out as well.

I would reconmend getting yourselfe a pair of homeplugs http://www.homeplugs.co.uk/ you plug them into a normal power socket, one near the router and one near you 360, conect up via normal network cables and your good to go, work first time and evey time for me.

I've got some of the 85Mbps ones and can stream videos and music without a problem. If your looking at HD streaming you should get the 200Mbps versions. Also i made sure that i got the 1.6 version as they are compatible with Media Center Extender.

There not as cheap as setting up a wirless network, but they are a lot easier.

The homelugs use your existing electricity circut to send and receive the network information.

My set up is like this, in the spare bedroom at the back of the house i have my broadband conection conected to my router, the router is then conected to my PC as normal. Also connected to the routing is a homeplug (by a standard network cable) which is pluged into a normal electricity wall socket . Down stairs in my front room sits another homeplug, again pluged into the electricity wall socket, this is the connected to my 360 by a standard network cable.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, this link http://www.homeplugs.co.uk/acatalog/diagrams.html will show you better what i mean.[/img]
