Well lets have a quick look inside this backwards compatibility .zip file thats being distributed via live, cd and via post.. Its going to be interesting..

Taken from hex edit:
Code:

UPDATES MEDIA
\Device\CdRom0\default.xex
installupdate.exe
XRTLLIB
XAPILIB
LIBCMT
XBOXKRNL
D3D9
XUIRUN
XUIRNDR
XAUD
XGRAPHC

xam.xexxboxkrnl.exe

Theres nothing else you can really look at in the file. Im going to check using some of the tools available to see if i can gather any more information from the header or seomting.. Just playing.. Dont laugh... heeh (i hear you pirrup and sharky.. lol)

lol.. pretty cool..

Heres what a current homebrew xbox application using the XDK looks like in the header (not 360):
Code:

XTLID
XAPILIB
D3DX8
XGRAPHC
DSOUND
XBOXKRNL
XKBD
LIBCMT
LIBCPMT

Basically all it is telling me is what libraries it is using from the new XDK for 360.. I know a little about the original xbox xdk but nothing about the new one.. Quite alot of new libraries, well if you ask me they will all be new....
I never used one of those libraries before when i was learning to code XDK..

XRTLLIB
XAPILIB
LIBCMT
XBOXKRNL

D3D9

I can bet that means DirectX3D v9.0 Library
Hey, but im no expert.. ehheh lol

XUIRUN
XUIRNDR

XAUD
