Anyone used one of these talimoon whisperquiet fans? Supposedly moves ALOT more air, wondering if it's worth the time and effort....my 360 is now off of warranty and I'm wondering if this will help keep it alive any longer. Opinions?

I have one its quiet and I guess moves more air it feels like it when I put my hand on the back. It lookes cool with the case I got too. The lights and all run off the fan power plug. The only problem I have with it was that it was not an exact fit. In general it was but not exact. I got it to go in but not snap in, if that makes sense. It is just a about a centimeter too tall.

Well, I just put my Talismoon Whisper fan (blue) in my 360 ( was pretty nervous, lol) and put it back together without an issue. Didn't get the fan to "snap" in, but it went in fine put it back together and after an hour of Fight NIght Round 3 the air coming out the back feels quite a bit hotter than before, so I hope this is a good thing. So far, I'd say this fan is worth the effort and $$$

Glad it went smooth for you. Are you using the stock case or an aftermarket one?

Just the stock case, this was the first time I've pulled my console apart so I was pretty nervous. lol I'm thinking of ordering a new case today now that I'm more confident taking it apart.

What case do you have?

I have the XCM 360 Full Case Special with the green leds. With the blue fan. Although they have a clear case and with a new fan duct with blue LED's and with an extra blue fan that goes next to the heat sink. It would look pretty cool, I haven't decided if I am going to do it yet.

We move on the 29th of Nov....I want to order this now, but I have to wait at least a couple days closer to our possession date cause I don't want it to come here and then be delayed by the mail forwarding and I don't want it to go to our new house before we move in (Very unlikely, but still) ....I wanna mod this thing like crazy now that I'm confident in pulling it apart and putting it back together successfully. lol

When you do it you'll have to post pics so I can see it. Another thing I was thinking too, would be changing the ring light led's with blue ones. Then all your lights would be the same color.

That's pretty sweet. Do you know with that mod if on error it still comes up as blue? If there is an error it'd be nice if that came up as red (hopefully that never happens though)

Ya it would still be red for an error as long as you didn't change the red led's. Obviously there are 2 seperate LED's for each light one green and one red for each of the 4 sections. So just switch the green ones, leaving the red ones alone. But like you said hopeully you never have to see them, they would literally have you seeing red... (bad joke).

lol Thanks for the info, I appreciate your time. My wife says to go ahead and order the stuff, so I think I'll do it first thing in the morning from work. Smile

Of course I still have to find a place that has the case in stock. Thinking of the blue clear from ebay.

Actually the leds have both colors in one led, they have 3 leads instead of the normal 2, don't remember if they have a common ground or a common voltage, but one of them is common where the other is what chooses which is turned on.
