Hi, i bought a pre modded 360. Games worked fine no probs. Got network adapter today to start using xbox live, set it up fine then it started to download the update (was wary but continued) then rebooted with error 66 code. I cant play my games! Is it fixable? will i ever be able to play copied games on it again? Will i be able to use xbox live again if it is fixable? Please help.

First off buying premodded is never a good idea because things like this happen and you're SOL. What you need to do now is change the firmware to either the 4.x or v3.3 xtreme firmware because your dive/firmwae combination is not compatible because of the fall update.

Thanks everyone for your help. Basically then it goes like this:
If its MS25 do the simple hex editing and it will be fine
If its MS28 flash the firmware with 4.2 and it will be fine
Is there no way at all that this could be unfixable then? If he follows one of the two it will be 100% ok?

For safety's sake, always flash back to the original then to the new release. It just makes it a bit more safe to do so.
