Hi there, with new installation of Linux on my PC I found again how much it sucks install abgx360 on linux because of all the dependencies so I decide to write it all down here so it will be easy for everybody get rolling on your linux.

I am gonna the process on Ubuntu but it is similar in other distributions

360-HQ Tutorial: http://www.360-hq.com/xbox-tutorials-128.html
Printer Friendly: http://www.360-hq.com/xbox-tutorials-print-128.html

What we are going to install:

Abgx360 1.0.2
Abgx360Gui 1.0.2

So lets start.

Go to http://abgx360.net/download.html and download the source files.

Extract them to your desktop

Open a terminal and do the following
Code:
sudo apt-get install libwxbase2.8-dev

then
Code:
sudo apt-get install libwxgtk2.8-dbg

then
Code:
sudo apt-get install build-essential

Ok now go to Synaptic Package Manager and install the following:

    libcurl3
    libcurl3-gnutls
    libcurl4-gnutls-dev
    liblua5.1-curl-dev
    zlib1g-dev

Thats all the dependencies if you are new to Linux I tell how to do the rest.

Open terminal and cd the folder of abgx360 like this

Code:
cd ../(yourUser)/desktop/abgx360-1.0.2/

now type
Code:
./configure
then
Code:
make

then do the same for the GUI folder.

Now you can do this (optional) move the file abgx360gui file to "/home/User/.abgx360"

Then place a shortcut of it in the desktop.

Thats it, run abgx360 from the shortcut and enjoy it

Hi there Im having some real problems installing abgx360 on linux mint 13 maya. I've followed all the tutorials but when I type cd ../davy/desktop/abgx360-1.0.5/

all that comes back up on the terminal is no such file or directory

I'm getting really frustrated here and have been trying for several hours now. Do you think you could maybe give me some pointers on what Im doing wrong?

Really appreciate any and all help on this one. Also Im pretty new to linux but as I learn Ill be happy to share any insights I get,

please help, Horse11

first you are installing the older version, download version 1.0.6

the problem is that you not pointing to the correct path.

Extract the folder to the desktop then write this
cd ./home/username/Desktop/abgx360-1.0.6

that should do it
