Got an OUYA yesterday, quite impressed in just the first day!

Powerful little rubiks cube sized device. Streams xbmc from my NAS no problem over wifi. Extremely easy to get up and going with emulators and games.

I sense ouya will bring a lot of creativity back into gaming which is something that will be interesting to watch unfold

One Peace, One Love

Good to hear Frozenfire I would still love to get a hold of one.

@Kennethk I think that most of the bad reviews are from people expecting way to much from this tiny device. To me it looks like it has possibilities.

Well I'd rather take my $100 and get a Android stick, higher specs plus hides behind the tv and it's pure Android. Their games are nothing to be excited about.

There comes a time when you have to judge for yourself, and not take the word of a 'review'. I believe it will create a new era in gaming where retro, and DIY design will take over. Despite all the reviews I haven't had one issue (other than shipping). The whole point of OUYA is for people to experiment, create, and hack! This is great for anyone who wants to learn coding in a fun and easy way. Great for computer science students like myself looking to get into game dev.

@TMS the Sonic games are fun, and incredibly fluid. Only played the demo level on episode 1&2

Thanks for the heads up man. It looks so cool also it's good to here that the games like sonic run smooth on it.

This system is built for people to learn, play and just have fun with it. I like retro gaming and it seems like this is where it's at plus XBMC, EMU's and other cool stuff.

Can't wait to hear and see more Frozenfire till I can import my own since no one sells it in Australia.

DId you read my other post? There are tons of better Android boxes out there thats worth $100, their exclusive games no ones going to really care about since they really have nothing that pops out. People just care about the thing because they heard Nvidia was getting involved.

People around hq believe the hype too much but can't see there are much better devices out there, it's obvious people are just going to use it for Emulation and not even touch the store that much.

Just take a look at Android boxes is all I'm saying, this way you get the play store, have root access, high specs for emulation etc...

most of the negativity surrounding the ouya so far is from one review back when it was in alpha.

i think its cool it supports the 360 and ps3 controllers as well as its own controller, you get that choice, its will get hardware upgrades every year and eventually if it gains momentum it will be on par with current gen consoles

you can believe if the xbox 1 is still getting development and software updates then the ouya will get a cult following as its totally open. who wouldnt want to upgrade and hack their consoles?

you can even wipe the thing and install android on it and just use it like that.

Why would you want to do that when you can get a android box that has 4.2 on it with higher specs with 1.6ghz and 2gbs of ram?

Android boxes do support bluetooth controllers as well as 360 or any usb controls.

i guess it would take an exclusive market, and features to be different than another android based console, i know what you mean though when rasberrypi came out several competitors came out with better specs but i think rasppi is still going strong with a decent following.

id get ouya for xbmc and retro games, as well as trying out every ouya based game. ive only seen 1 for sale so far here, it was $120 for a development version so i think i will wait till after xmas and get a better deal.
