Ive been having loads of problems with my connectino for the past 3 months, ive had the phone line replaced outside my house and all sorts of shit like new routers, cabling etc etc and this is what i get now.

TEST 1

TEST 2: 5 Minutes Later

TEST 3: 3 Minutes after test 2

WTF, So im getting 1mb most of the time, and occasionally it spikes back up to 10-11mb.. My router says I'm connected at 11,000 but i can't get a stable speed like i have had for over 2 years..

Im getting ADSL1 speed which is terrible.

Anyone got any suggestions, ive upgraded router firmwares, completed a isolation test and plenty of other shit like new routers, laptops etc etc.
When im running the tests, im connected via ethernet and have all my firewalls and everything turned off just in case.

Here is how fast my internet used to be. I personally feel that there is still something wrong with the LINE.. There has to be.

What I Used to Get (like 3 months ago)

I recently switched from Comacst Cable to DSL.

Cables was about 8 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up. Now I have 15 Mbps down and 1 Mbps up with DSL and it costs a little less. I really want a fiber connection but it's not available on my street yet. I noticed that the slow downs of cable are gone like at peak times. It seems to be always the full 15 Mbps down consistently.

I did a test from me to AU just for fun:

Well it took 3 months, but i got my connection back to normal.. Here are my results again.. thank god.

Not that great, but better than 2mb hahah.

In the end (3 months later), it was a switch/router at the exchange which was screwed, they ended up patching me into a newer switch and my problems have been fixed.

I would die for that extra 0.50Mbps up right now.. It would help with Xbox LIVE lobbies and uploading for the site to. I can't wait till we get fibre optic here where i live, the Australian NBN (national broadband network) is on the way in oz. Smile Just gotta wait. around 3 years i hear.

@ X_Splinter,

I wish mate, you lucky bugger. lol

If anyone is interested to see what the Australia NBN (National Broadband Network) is all about you can learn more here.

The NBN will provide all users with access to speeds greater than what many people experience on ADSL today, and will offer a more stable and reliable broadband service.

93 per cent of Australian premises will have access to the NBN through optic fibre to the premises, capable of providing broadband speeds of up to one gigabit per second. The remaining 7 per cent of premises will have access to next-generation fixed wireless and satellite technologies, providing peak speeds of 12 megabits per second.
