I have noticed lately, that I get burned out quickly with a lot of the new games. I play them for a short time, maybe one campaign play through and dont want to touch them any longer.

Halo 1, The origional, I cant count how many play throughs I did on that game, It was a brand new look for a game, it was amazing.

Halo 2 I got one play through and done

Halo odst, I started it a couple times but never finished it, got tired of it.

I had a good time with Black ops, but was playing today and realized... Not having fun with it anymore. burned out. I am going to finish up the single player then move on to my other games, still need to finish up Red Dead Redemption, but have not even started the new assassins creed, Fallout new vegas, sims 3 and Halo Reach, Im not a big Halo Fan anylonger, heck only really got into Halo 1, But looking forward to playing with the map maker anyway.

As far as Medal of honor goes, wow, That thing may but up on the shelf for good, had fun for a short time but have no desire to play it again.

Just curious about what game or games you play or have played that you feel have a low burn out factor, meaning you can play them over and over and really not get tired of them, or play several times and still consider enjoyable.

The only game I can think of for me, is a pc shooter Delta Force Extreme, it does not have the greatest graphics but has huge maps, and map maker, I could play a 30 minute match as a sniper way out in the bush over a thousand yards from the main action and get maybe 2 kills the whole game, but those 2 kills were very satisfying, felt more like a hunt.

The only multiplayer games I always go back to are:
Battlefield, Guitar Hero (Drums), COD.

Yeh, yeh, I hear you. Guitar Hero..
I guess the addiction is just the music and i have a good stereo and drums. lol

With COD the main reason I play is most of my friends play this alot, i get bored of it quickly too but still persist.\

Every other game I play i get really bored of when im not even through the first few levels. When it comes to single player games anything goes, I'm not too picky.

Medal of honor has been shelved already, i will only get that out to finish off some achievements i guess. That game was terrible online.

Im super picky. The only games I play day after day is cod and halo. Others get tossed into the black hole of my closet never to be seen again.

I do get burned out on some games, especially a series where there is a sequel to a game that I felt like I just played (I'm looking at you fable 3). I remember when I heard that Fable 3 was released, I thought "it just felt like Fable 2 came out".

Multiplayer games are a different story. Usually I stick to playing the older game in the series because I like the multiplayer better. Games like MW2 and Gears of War 1 will always be better then black ops or Gears of War 2. The only exception to that is Rainbow Six Vegas 2, because that game kept enough of the feeling of the first one and built upon it that it was good. That is usually the biggest reason why I get burned out on multiplayer games - the developer has done the same thing that the last game did with a few new weapons and maps. For me that just takes away from all the fun of the first game, so I revert back.

As for RPG's like Fallout and Oblivion, those are great games that I get burned out on in the short term, but a year later will always be excited to come back and play. When you finish a character on a 40+ hour game, it isn't exactly fun to make a new character right away and play through it again.
