Too bad you trashed it, I know exactly what happened. Your cap went and then the mosfet failed too as well. Believe me when I say that it looks worse 99% of the time then it is. Just a simple chemical cleaner to get rid of the uglies and you will notice that it's not bad at all. I'm a computer/electronics tech and see it all the time

I havent posted here on xbox 360 hq but have on the orignal xbox -hq, I just cant believe some people, they sell there junk or think they know how to fix things, (not saying I am the greatest at fixing things or etc) but I have some common sence.
Just cant believe that they all want people to donate on there bad luck or bad purchases, we all had them at one time or another.
I believe anything is fixable unless someone royal messed (wanted to us another word) up
I bought 2 xbox 360s one guy said it had a RROD and other was dvd wouldnt read games...One was shorted out completely and the other someone had there fingers in and swaped the dvd drive out so I am screwed twice....Donate to me and everyone else, Like Forahobby he needs his money just like me and everyone else....lol life goes on

X_Splinter, your right, it can't and especially while playing Modern Warfare 2... The Modern Warfare 2 patches are limited and size, in other words. To create a patch that will corrupt your JTAG is impossible as the libraries needed to do such is incredibly large, which would exceed the maximum file limit by lots! If anyone has forgot, on top of it all, the Xbox 360 has a surge protector. Any model before the Xbox 360 Slim at least. _________________________________________________________
