Hey guys, I'm about to start reviewing every game I lay my hands on, to help me with this I'm going to use my Gamefly account to it's fullest, it would be nice to have some suggestions for games to review, I'm currently checking out NBA Live 06 and Amped 3, what are some topics that you need covered in the reviews you want to read? So far these are the topics I plan to cover, let me know if there are any more that would help you determine whether or not to get a game.

"Pickup and Play" - How easy is it for the average gamer to pick up and play, I will also go into nongamers and people that occasionally play games how I feel they respond to the games controls and difficulty.

"Visual Flair" - This is all about graphics, everyone knows that it's not the graphics that makes or breaks a game, but it sure doesn't hurt to look nice.

"Attention Span" - Does this game grab onto you so that you don't want to quite playing? This can be considered both good and bad, depends on your perspective. Also it has to do with a game that you can pickup play and easily let go at anytime, games at the arcade are normally this type.

"The Script" - How is the storyline, is it overy cheesy, cheesy enough, or just plain chips? Does this game touch you in ways that movies can, does this game make you jump out of your seat because of the mood it sets you in, this is all about the writer's ability. (Note: Does not apply to sports games)

"Staying Power" - Does this game have a chance to withstand the test of time like so few games before it, will we be playing this game a year down the road? A decade? Forever? There atleast one game on the 360 that already define this the best, Geometry Wars, this is a game that you can play and play, you never beat it, you always come back for more.

Let me know if there are any more games, also how do you want these rated, 1-5, 1-10, 1-100? I figure 1-10 would be right in line with what we have on the site, I'll probably go 1-10 with a half point decimal.

So just let me know what games you want reviews, and also let me know the games that you want previewed, I am trying to get as much information as possible for this site to really thrive with not only the modding community but the gaming community also.

Yeah good idea, that's one I had in mind, but when I started listing them it slipped my mind, I think i'll give each point I discuss a 1-10 rating where 10 would vary between each field as meaning something different, like 10 would have great controls, but it would mean fair achievements, too easy achievements in my book detracts from the game's potential.

hey sjohn..

If you get time.. Sit down and think up exactly how many areas of the game you are going to give a score.. I will add some new areas so it displays the rating you give on each area.

Gameplay
Achievements
etc
etc

anyway, just a idea..

keep at it

That's a great idea, i'll have to sit and think for a while, it also kind of depends on the game, like say oblivion would of course score much better with a "story line" score than say nba 2k6, so that might not be the best field I'll look into it and see how I can break the game up atleast one that will fit the mold of most games, like "graphics", "audio", "presentation", "fun factor", "replay value", "achievments" and should I score achievements on fairness, or should i do it on a scale of easy to hard? or vice versa? Maybe have a seperate score for fairness and a score for easiness, i'll think on it over night and try to start my reviews tomorrow, didn't play much today.

hey, i would love to help with reviews!
give me some games (Turst me, i have EVERY Game for the 360 released..EXCEPT for any shitty sports games (with the exception of rumble rose's...i have that game...but i use it as a coaster...seriously...)
go ahead..give me a game and i could make a sweet review...
I also have an article i wrote for a class...its about the next gen- how each console has pro's and cons, and why this and that.
I think it would be awesome that the HQ get some exculsive content on a regular basis (I have time..for the most part...i dont tend to sleep much)
