Thought I would start posting any xbox live service alerts here. Maybe we could have a sticky somewhere on the main page for direct linking to the alerts from http://support.xbox.com/support, Just an Idea, I was about to call xbox and cuss them out till I found the alert.

CURRENT ALERT (BILLING)
Users may experience difficulties with account recovery, account management, Marketplace functions and/or making purchases. We are aware of the problem and working to resolve the technical issues. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience. This means you may get messages like "cant contact xbox live" or error messages such as 8015000a.


UPDATE, More problems as follows....
Users will be unable to log in to Xbox.com or access the Marketplace on Xbox.com. Users will also be unable to post to Xbox.com forums. We are aware of the problem and are working to resolve the technical issues. We thank you for your patience.

about 9 hours after first attempt to redeem my ms points and the system is still not working, I guess the people at MS are too busy counting Mr. Gates mountains of cash to be bothered fixing their service.
I have to tell you, between 2 broken 360's ( each that broke down many times) and many Xbox live problems in the past and now this, what a pain in the ass.

I dont remember ever having any problems with any gaming system in the past except one time my sega genesis broke down once but they fixed it quick. XBOX is like a very high maintenance girlfriend. I really hope when they get the next system out they learn from these mistakes and do it right next time.

I bet those computer techs at MS office are down stairs playing ping pong in their Birkenstocks and sucking Cappuccino right now while all the red lights on the servers are blinking lol.

UPDATE, it is 11:15 Pacific standard time, and My redeem code just went threw and map is downloading. XBOX service alert status says "up and running"

i noticed that all the HQ gamercards were offline too.. Everything seems to be ok again now.. Smile

Wish i had my internet back fulltime i would be joining you guys for sure.

WHOA. Have not been on the forums in a while, and i saw the exact same error for me. Im glad its just LIVE because i was getting ready to cancel my subscription.

Anyhow, for the past couple of months, i have been unable to Download, Buy MSPoints, and do any LIVEMarket purchases.

Do you know when exactly this error will clear up? I was about to trash my account. Good thing i check the forums huh? P: However, it seems to me that the Market purchases are working perfectly for you guys. The error is still progressively appearing for me :/

That was an old alert, the status can change daily, I just looked up Xbox live status and it states everything is up and running, I would call Xbox live support and get them to clear up you problem.
