That happened to me about 4 days ago. I had to reset my router for it to work right.
same here, cept it dropped again soon after.. a friend says he has been having problems with live for couple weeks or so _________________________________________________________

Not just you, I was having trouble last night with the same message 'network connection needed to play live'.

Just been reading up on major nelsons blog and there is currently issues with xbox live.

I was getting the same message on COD 4 all day yesterday on and off till last evening I finally gave up cause it kept freezing. _________________________________________________________

my box keeps freezing and i keep getting dropped to, i guess im not the only one.
Once i reset my modem and router though its good for about a hour till i get dropped again.

I can't get on live now. There is no message it just tries to connect and briefly does then drops. I tried recovering gamer tag and it fails.
