Browse thru this wiki, it has all the info you need.

Also the 360s are fitted with hdmi ports now, not just the elite. So unless you really want that 120 gig hdd, and that black case go with a premium.

If you have a tv with an hdmi port, you simply plug the hdmi from the 360 to your tv and your good to go. It just cuts out quite a few cables but still provides hi def.

The HDMI port is useful for me because my HDTV does not do 1080P with the component connections. It does however support 1080P using the HDMI ports.

HDMI cables is one simple wire that contains both video and audio making it easier and less clutter compared to 3 wires or more, its also 100% digital both in audio and video and is basicly the new thing and soon going to replacing all current type of wires like rca cables.

its also the only way to watch certain content due to the bs security companies are doing, furthermore it can transmit all resolutions as where componet cables were the only thing in the rca type of wires that could only give 1080, some tvs were not going to do 1080i/p in componet so they made hdmi. fianly componet is not digital 100% yet its not analoque its sort of how they say it "super analoque"

bottom line : pay for the elite as its only a slight more and cheaper to buy the whole elite as the upgradeable hard drive cost about the same or more if it was purchase seprately.......

i hope this makes some sense

Good response, but I do think 120 gigs is a bit much for xbox live. Unless your all about buying hd content off live then its a bit pointless. 20 gigs is more then enough to satisfy your downloading tastes.

I guess that just comes down to what one wants and their habits. I know that I am always running out of room with my 20GB drive. They should have never included such a small drive. It should have been 40 to 60 GB to start. I have never been happy with the size of the 20GB drive. Hell, you can buy $250 GB SATA 2 drives for about $60 bucks these days at tigerdirect and newegg.

Me too cents.
