If you can prevent/fix something yourself its better than having to wait 4-6 weeks just to get your 360 back when you could fix it in 2 hours.

ok so your saying that your going to open up your 360 risk damaging it at or during the time of the mod and hope that it will work right?

even if you succeed withch im sure you will it still will overeheat but when it does break guess what

its a brick

because you voided the factory warranty even if it was for a good cause ms wont give a crap you void it your fucked.

just my 2 cents i dont think its worth doing all that work

I broke my warranty to stick the full xcm fan kit in. Dropped my temps quite a bit. Look at the review I wrote up. I got a 360 in that was popping 3rol, didn't feel like doing the x-clamp replacment. The fans actually stopped it from popping 3rol.

The design of the 360 is terrible, with the right preventive maintance, theres no need to worry about sending your 360 back. Ive let mine run for damn near 24 hrs before, was playing a game without a save feature. So Id just pause it and turn the tv off when I was done.

So all in all, with additional cooling, you'll be giving your 360 a headstart.

But all in all it boils down to "different strokes for different folks".

hey guys...

I opened my 360 with out breaking the seal.
I read somewhere on the net that if you unclip the front clips slowly and use only upward pressure the sticker slides off with no damage. But you must be very cautious and go really slowly. then I did all my mods and placed the case back together and it looks like I didn't mess with the seal.

try it, what can it hurt, if your going to take apart you 360 cant hurt to try and get apart with the seal not broken.

remember slowly unclip the front of the 360 without using upward pressure, I started with the outside clips and slowly worked my way to the seal and it slid off with out any problems. Then unclip the back of the case and volla.

Hi all,

why go thro all that trouble when ms will have to replace them free of cost Shocked Confused

Ive heard from several people who said they sent their modded xbox back to xbox and it was repaired.. It was NOT firmware modded but only case modded with fans and lights etc..

I think even xboxXXX from 360-hq sent his modded xbox in and got it repaired under warranty too but you would need to confirm that with him directly..

If anyone wants to check out the tutorial and review endless wrote for the XCM Air Cooler Addon etc check out the links below..
