Yeah i was wondering if anyone has ever been banned from xbox live after having modded their 360? because i want to mod mine and i have everything ready for it just that i dont want to blow my half year left of live...

Not exactly bongripz, me and some of my friends are running the iextreme 1.2 and I have had it for about 3 weeks and been on live every single day and has been ban free for now. But if you do get banned, just plann on getting a new hdd.

i plan on buying a new one but i just want a core with no hdd and no remotes (i already have 2) just the wires for the tv... and like so far im finding people selling it a crazy prices like 400$ just because it has a black wireless remote included... id need it between $100 - $200... anyway there was also this method of hacking it that i heard about where u install this thing that makes you ban proof or something... if anyone has a console for sale or just have ideas please mention them im willing to listen.

Nothing is ban proof. Ixtreme is what everyone is using atm. But you could flash it, play and next week they could roll out a way of detecting it and you could get banned.
When they ban they ban the console, your gamertag is fine, you just have to get your hands on a new console. Im not keen on xbox scene, but they have a buy/sell/trade forum that is very active, and your best bet for finding cheap 360's, and accessories for it.

Wonder why loads of consoles got banned?????
If ya played halo3 beta....Did you notice how the player numbers online went from 50,000+ to round 10,000 all of a sudden????

Yeah... Microsoft is getting pretty crafty with detecting mods. Since they arnt making money off of the hardware, they have to protect their software interests. I honestly dont blame em for banning modded consoles from live. Not saying everyone does, but you know some people want to mod their consoles for the wrong reasons.
