Holy crap...never thought it would happen to me but guess what? it did! im so pissed! i went to play some halo and got the red lights the other night...unplugged everything and waited for a minute or two plugged everything back in and it worked fine...played it earlier and it was fine...tired to play a few min ago....RED RING OF DEATH! has this happened to anyone else here??? _________________________________________________________

Happened to quite a few people, ring ms, and they will send you a box with instructions on how to send it back for repairs at no cost. They upped their warranty to 3 years.

You just send the core unit, keep everything else. Yes they send back a refurbished model. Not sure about the turn around, I've heard anywhere from 7-14 days.

i have a friend that had one go bad just the other day and he called MS and they told him his warranty was up, that he would have to pay.
is the extended warrant confirmed?

nevermind...his wastn the 3 rings problem. the extended warranty only covers the ring of death problem.

From day I ordered the shipping box untill day my xbox was fixed and returned was 11 days including weekends.

yeah the three year warranty is only extended on the 3 flashing red lights problem...wow thats really not that bad considering how many problems they are experiencing with the ring of death...and weekends!! _________________________________________________________
