Hey,

A little while ago I filled in the survey in order to be able to get the new Xbox 360 Dashboard before release, well today I was lucky enough to be selcted in the last 10,000 people to test it.

Here is the email I got from Microsoft, I have edited out the support phone number in respect to them:

The Xbox 360 Fall Flash update will be available to you by 2pm PST on November 14th (5pm EST on November 14th, 10pm GMT on November 14th).

If you would like to post comments regarding your experiences with the New Xbox Experience, or interact with other preview participants please use the Newsgroups link on the connect site.

If you need technical assistance with the Xbox 360 Fall Flash and you're in the US or Canada and speak English; you can also call xxx-xxx-xxxx. Phone lines will be open between the hours of 8am and 6pm CST. Do not publish or otherwise share this phone number with people that are not participating in the preview.

In participation with this program, you should not move your storage device (hard drive, or memory unit if you do not have a hard drive) to any other console as it will also update that console. We thank you for your participation and hope that you enjoy the New Xbox Experience.

See you online,

I must admit I do like the new Dashboard a lot, it will take a little getting used to but I think they have a winner here.

Just wondering if anyone else here has been lucky enough to participate in this...

Yeah, rub it in DJB.

I was thinking of getting it but i just bought COD4 and am enjoying the online play too much.

I was gonna wait until about a week after it is releasd to see if people have any problems. I did read that they are releasing it 2 days after the 3 year warranty for launch consoles expires. Nice way to treat the people who first bought the 360's. If they get the rrod, they are screwed.

I do believe you can still use the blades dashboard, the new look is an option, but you have to download it.

Nice DJB

Personally I can wait the 4 days,

and to Div,

If you don't update they won't let you go on xbox live, and I doubt there will be any problems, microsoft already has had enough and I'm sure they've been working extra hard on this.

I'm fine with the dashboard now so I'm not really too excited for the new dash.

@wes213
So far I havent found any downside to the new dashboard at all, everything is going well.

@Div
Yea I've read a few reports of the older 360's being RROD'ed after this. So far my 360 has been fine though (even with playing games off the HDD).

@frozenfire12
I would've waited too but I just got lucky hehe.

@dartht33bagger
Man trust me once you use this new dashboard you'll be sold.

I thought major nelson said you would still be able to play on xbox live if you dont feel like u want the new dashboard and that, i swear i seen it some were. Im pretty sure he said you had a choice to either take the new update or not. Did not say anything about you cant play online or not. O well dont really matter to me either way.

I could see a lawsuit of some stupid-defined crap going on that them making us have to choose the new dashboard or not be allowed to play live would go to funny in the courts.
