Hey! This is an one sided poll. That's not cool. I happen to not like Sony for some BIG reasons but some here may like them.

Hey, if you don't like it, go make your own poll! Wink

Oops! It appears I forgot to add a four choice....

"No! Sony is great for protecting us from evil organizations such as Lik-Sang, who was destroying Sony's economic viability by, ummm, let me see.... oh yeah! By selling Sony's products for them!"

After the PS3, I plan to avoid Sony as much as possible. They used to represent as "safe" choice for electronics, but lately they seem to be more interested in putting out crap.

Microsoft sucks in many ways too but for some reason I like em hehe

Here's why I dislike Sony:

1.They Suck!

2.They played unnecessary hard ball with Sega hurting them while Microsoft actually helped them back in the Dreamcast days.

3.They made a secrete Trojan virus in their DVD movies that could be used by hackers to gain access to the PCs of unsuspecting innocent Sony movie buyers if played in the PC..

4. Sub-par stereo equipment that is not cheap in $$$ (I have a story if interested.)

5. Always trying to 'RULE' when really in the end they should just join and follow because they will just lose in the end. Failed Sony inventions... go a head, you can name them.

6. Producing a crap system like PS1 (The graphics sucks a big tree)

7.Producing a crap system like PS2 (The Dreamcast was better made and with game play and graphics on par with it or close. The XBOX blows the wet panties off the PS2 in every way imaginable.)

8. Somehow sucking innocent people into thinking they are cool with a PS1 or PS2 while in reality this is just not the case.

9. They suck as well

10. How expensive the PC's are and then they suck. Mine is collecting dust.

I just want to say I have a PS1 and PS2 (I have just about all systems). I have about 200 PS1 games. Guess how many I played for more than 5 minutes. NONE. I got all these games from a friend that was throwing them out and I said hey, there many be some good games there I'll take them. I tried most of them but the 'throe up" graphics made me sick so I kept on using my Dreamcast with the 130+ games that I have. I can't play the PS2 over the XBOX especially with the same game on both systems. The XBOX one always runs better and looks better on a HDTV.

Last but not least Sony does suck... allot!

Disclaimer: Just my personal opinion which never counts so please don't fret too much.

LOL theres a reason why I stick with my older stereo equipment lol, and i can add on new stuff to adapt to the changing technology but my old solid state pioneer reciever thou it may be only 200 watts can still push 12inch subs with out struggling lol, hell my pc can out do a typical stereo system lol.

Lets just say, when I have my stereo or pc going, it does rattle dishes lol

I wish my laptop rattled the windows hehe

I am spent today, I'll talk about 2 of the my Sony audio purchases tomorrow.

I do think it is a shame that a company like Lik-Sang has suffered so to the point of shutting down at such unmerciful hands. Shame, Shame on Sony.

Ok here's one story.

About 6 years ago I bought a high-end Sony book-shelf style stereo system for $600. It was over 200+ watts per channel and multiple speakers to stick all over the place. It was nice for 2 months. I never used the tape cassette until 2 months of having it but I did try and one would not open and the other accepted the tape and then proceeded to eat it. I tried again later and it ate another cassette. I was more into Cd's so I said forget it and continued to use the 6 CD changer for another couple of months. This system had regular AM/FM 6 CD changer and 2 cassette players with Multi function alarm to wake and snooze to either the radio, Cd's or tape. Well, I often switched between alarm wake from radio and wake on CD and one day approximately 4 months of having this stereo, I awoke to the sounds of grinding and whirring ... tat a tat tap... What had happened is the CD mechanism jammed and it apparently never tried to stop forcing itself to get a cd to play. The gears and so on got stripped and I also could not eject any of the Cd's. Later when I got the chance, I took the system apart to get at my Cd's which at the time were very important to me for what ever reason. Low and behold, all six Cd's were scratched beyond use. What a Bitch! I was pissed. After that I only used the system as a super loud radio alarm clock up until last year when I said this thing is taking up to much space for what it does and I proceeded to smash it into a million pieces to help me to relax and make room for my new fish tank not made by Sony.

A strange development to this story just happened the other day. As I have been having trouble getting up in the morning since I am now missing the "Boom, BOOM, BOOM" of the super stupid $600 200+ watt Radio alarm clock and I replaced it with the sounds of bubbles and Flowing water and just have this little tiny buzzer alarm thing that I do not hear ever, my girl friend decided to fix this and give me a nice new 'sterio radio CD alarm clock' made by Sony. Well it does work and doesn't take as much space as the other one.

My other Sony stereo equipment story tomorrow. Cheers!

Jay

Those are all pretty neat. To me my Dell laptop actually has impressive sound but not 'boom, boom, boom' level. I think I will try one of those Turtle Beach 5.1 USB out, thanks hellblazer55

I have some a nice set of 5.1 speakers to use on it. Sweet!

Edit: My second Sony story has to do with a big Sony Component stereo system I used to plug my computers into with some nice BOOM. Once again, the story does not shed much favorable light on the Sony outfit.
