My wife reserved Saints Row demo for me the other day and was given a demo disc for the game. Demo came with a downloadable picture pack and theme. The demo was good, sure it's another GTA knock off but people like the non linear play of those games. Speaking of non linear play check out this link if you get demo http://www.signal360.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=327&Itemid=1 _________________________________________________________

The first video there was actually done by a member here on this site, I'm pretty good friends with him, he's been playing the demo for a couple weeks now, we are currently working on a preview of the game so that should be out some time today, along with lots more news about new games like Need for Speed Carbon and Call of Duty 3. _________________________________________________________
personally i dont think the game is that good. i still like it quite a bit but GTA will kick some @ss _________________________________________________________ XBOX

I've played the demo and Saints seems quite good. But its sure no GTA, I really don't like the way you have to activate some (what seem like) core missions. IE the storefront one in the demo, you have no choice but to activate the mission flag thingy for it to start the mission otherwise the place is empty...
This compromises your 'free roam, do the mission how you like' aspect of the gameplay I feel, something GTA has bags of. Which in turn makes its very much replayable, will Saints be the same? I doubt it somehow.
They seem to have made the scripting a little to obvious too with sudden changes to the environment as you activate missions, like the cars in the back yard suddenly disappearing and completely new ones popping up.
I will certainly be renting it out once it hits the streets to see what the full games like before parting with my cash.
Worth a download tho. _________________________________________________________ JAy3k1

Ima get it, Ill do me over till GTA4 when that comes out in 07.... not sure avout Crackdown tho, looks like the GTA type of game also... Ill have 2 play the demo of that to judge it 1st...
demos give you a feeling for the game but seriously the full games make you change your POV completely towards the game. pgr, tomb raider, full auto demos all sucked but i rented all the games and they were actually quite good. GTA4 of course is gonna kick @ss like it usually does. theyve had plenty of GTA's and they all were very good _________________________________________________________ XBOX
