Just thought i would share my case mod i finished it not to long ago. Has legacy fans and 2 extra 40mm fans and 4 copper heatsinks on the ram chips nothing crazy. The lights are a mixture of blue and UV but the camera doesnt pick that up.

Very pretty. Seems everyone who case mods and adds LEDs loves the color blue just to show they don't let corporations dictate the color them of their consoles. LOL

On a serious note how did you remove part of the case covers? Do most people use a dremel to carve out a hole in the case covers? What transparent material did you use for the see-through effect? Plexiglas?

How did you manage to fit the transparent material within the dimensions of your case cut? Is it a friction fit? Or do you use some sort of glue material?

Thanks for posting

haha thanks man in my defense it does look a bit more purple in real life Razz

Yea i used a dremel then metal files and lastly fine grade sand paper to make it all tiddy. i also took out the RF shielding if thats what you meant by case covers. but yes i used plexiglass.

not sure what a friction fit is. but i just cut the plexiglass to be an inch bigger on all sides and glued it in place on the inside.

thanks for looking and commenting Very Happy

I was refering to the white 360 case covers. Not the RF shielding underneath.

I was just curious how you fit the plexiglas so nicely against the rest of the case.

So basically you cut out a piece with an extra inch on each side?? How could you possibly fit that in? I've never done case modding and thought I'd ask about it.

you will have to sand down some small areas possibly even cut out some pieces to get the plexiglass to fit flush. if that made sense at all once you open it and remove the RF shielding you will know what im talking about. you should go for it its alot of work but definitely worth it. practice on an original xbox they are pretty cheap nowadays. if you follow the Flickr links you can see my original xbox and a wii iv done in my photostream bit off topic to post them here.

Yea I'm from Tucson. I actually don't own any Xbox 360 games I borrowed and played some halo 4 and that was it. I built it with intentions to sell though can't seem to find anyone who has cash with any interest. As it seems it was a very bad business move . I would like to finish up some of my original Xbox projects and even start another 360 that can be chipped. But I'm already on the verge of no profit so it might just go on the shelf or into storage which really is a shame but oh well

ya man i used to do that to but people have been saving for months for the new consoles and now that there out theres nothing, plus people get scared buying a opened and modded console especially off criaglist. I used to put a link to my hq profile and threads so anyone look at it could see all the replies and such, and it actually helped sell a few of them. kinda worked like product reviews i guess lol

Would like to check out some of your work I'm unsure if I've already seen it, I did go through posts awhile ago.thanks man
