I am using a Datel Xport docking station for my original Xbox360 120 GB HD.

I am using Xplorer 360 Beta 6 Extreme build 2, and Xport 360 version 2.12. I can see my Xbox360 HD file tree.

On partition 3, I can see a folder called CONTENT.

However, I cannot find any logical place to put my .mp3s and .avis. Any help with this would be great. Also, can Xbox360 read avi and mp3 from its own HD?

Thanks much from icy Norway

Hi,

You CANNOT (as far as i know right to this minute) place .avi files or .mp3 files onto your xbox 360 hardrive. Most of the media files which are already on the 360 harddrive (retail) are signed with unique security id's and any other file(s) are not permitted..

Xplorer360 and the XSATA are for backing up your hdd to your pc, editing gamesaves etc etc. Not for copying movies.. Sad I wish it was.

A Suggestion
I would suggest you copy your MOvIES and MUSIC to a USB HDD or USB STICK and plug it into your xbox 360 USB port.

More info about Xplorer360 is in our Xbox 360 Homebrew Database:

Xplorer360 Software
http://www.360-hq.com/xbox360-homebrew-16-Xplorer360.html

You could also look into streaming video from your pc or NAS Network devices..

hope that helps.

enjoy the HQ's,

hobbs

couldn't you just rip a cd to the harddrive and see where it goes? I did that with my iphone, then searched the directory tree and abused the contents of the folders Razz

hhaha, true true, but why would you bother when you can just insert any usb stick and play the music from it.. weird. You can even stream from your pc too..

You know what's weird, is that if you just stream through just xp media player it won't get all the songs, even after cleaning out the library and rescanning. But with WMC or tversity no problem.
