im no programmer, but to me this kinda looks like a dead end to me. I hate to be skeptical, but even if this is booting into mfg mode, i would assume its a damn bit more complicated then just injecting some code at the right place on the memory unit and bam exploit, does this even grant hypervisor access in any way shape or form, because if not then from what ive read that means no no homebrew.

I got a semi when i first saw the title for this in the news section. But reading more about it it seems like it is nothing new. I read a few years back disks with the same sort of thing were accidently being sent in refurbed consoles.
The console needs to be connected to the network and gets some sort of authentication i think, which no one knows what it is. If they had that, then i think they may be able to do something with it.
I personally have no idea either, that is just what i have read. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

It is actually a USB Device that needs to be hooked up. But if some how we can get one in our hands, we can possibly emulate it and gain access over the system. Thats my wild guess, but they do use USB devices. hehe _________________________________________________________

We already do have a hold of it. M$ accidently sent the memory cards out to a couple of people who sent their rrod systems back for repairs. There are dumps of the memory cards floating around, but nothing has come of it yet. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.

Wasen't it casued by a failed update though? Isn't that a little weird. And if we can get the XBox 360 to enter Manufacture Mode, what else could we do with it. _________________________________________________________

Not sure if people actually know what we could do, but considering it needs to be on the network and get authorisation to do what it does, think we could open up a world of possibilities. It would make your 360 so sexy you would never need a woman again... maybe. _________________________________________________________ Opinions are like arse holes, everybody has one and your's stinks.
