Note: You need a JTAG Xbox 360 or a Development Kit in order for this to work!

Requirements:
- A JTAG Xbox 360 or a Development Kit!
- A Copy of the Halo 3 Map you plan to modify.
- Alteration (Program to Mod Halo 3)

How to Mod Halo 3 Projectiles:
1. Open your Halo 3 Map in Alteration.
2. Go to the Weapons (Weap) tag.
3. Click Editors and then check Meta Editor.
4. Once it has fully loaded, scroll down and look for Projectile, you will see something that says Proj and another ComboBox beside it, just change that to whatever other projectile you want your weapon to fire.
5. At the near bottom of the Alteration window, you will see a small button called Save, just click that once or twice. Your modified map is now saved.
6. You can now close Alteration and transfer your .MAP file to wherever your game is saved.
7. Enjoy!

How to make your Character Invincible:
1. Open your Halo 3 Map in Alteration.
2. Go to the Object_Properties (hlmt) tag.
3. Click Editors and then check Meta Editor.
4. Once it has fully loaded, look for and select 'objects\characters\masterchief\mp_masterchief\mp_masterchief' or 'objects\characters\elite\mp_elite\mp_elite', depending on what character you want to be invinsible.
5. Go to the meta editor window, and scroll down untill you find the section called 'HEALTH/DAMAGE' and look for flags.
6. Under flags, select 'Cannot die from damage' and put a check beside it.
7. Near the bottom of the screen is a small button called Save, click that once or twice and then you have just saved your modified map.
8. You can now close Alteration and transfer your .MAP file to wherever your game is saved.
9. Enjoy!

How to make your Character Jump High:
1. Open your Halo 3 Map in Alteration.
2. Go to the Biped (bipd) tag.
3. Click Editors and then check Meta Editor.
4. Once it has fully loaded, look for and select the character you wish to modify.
5. Once the meta window has fully loaded, scroll down and look for Jump Velocity and change that to a higher number, the higher number, the higher you will jump.
6. At the bottom of the window, you should see a small button called Save, click that once or twice and then you have just saved your modified map.
7. You can now close Alteration and transfer your .MAP file to wherever your game is saved.
8. Enjoy!

How to make your Character Run Faster:
1. Open your Halo 3 Map in Alteration.
2. Go to the Globals (matg) tag.
3. Click Editors and then check Meta Editor.
4. Once it has fully loaded, select 'globals\globals'.
5. Once the meta window has fully loaded, look for Run Forward, Run Backward and Run Sideways.
6. Change those all to a higher number, the higher the number the faster you will run.
7. At the bottom of the window, you should see a small button called Save, click that once or twice and then you have just saved your modified map.
8. You can now close Alteration and transfer your .MAP file to wherever your game is saved.
9. Enjoy!

Use this for educational use only!

Questions and Answers:
Q: Can I mod Halo 3 without a development kit or a JTAG Xbox 360?
A: Yes, but there are limits to, you can only mod a Map Variant, not the whole .MAP File. For example, you cannot mod a projectile as the Map Variant doesent have control over what your weapon shoots.

Q: Why do I need a Development Kit or a JTAG Xbox 360?
A: The reason is because when you mod a .MAP file, the encryption signatures do not match and the Xbox 360 will not allow the game to be played with a invalid encryption signature.

Whenever I have time to post a few more, I will.
