OK, so this is what I'm trying to do here. I want to install avalaunch, but don't want to flash or chip. Can this be done? I'm not understanding all that I have read on installing dashes. I was trying to connect my laptop to 360 to FTP but couldn't get it to work. My laptop connects wirelessly to my router. I have flashfxp. But, am I to understand that in order to FTP, I have to have already have avalaunch loaded? I know that I can also connect my laptop to the 360 with a crossover cable, how do I do this all? I don't have a drive in my computer that reads 360 games so that I can stealth copy my games, that is why I'm trying to connect with FTP. Any help would be great.
You can't mod an xbox 360 like that, those are all xbox 1 mods.

Thanx. I am trying to learn bout all this modding stuff. My wife bought it for me while I was over seas in Afghanistan. Now that I'm back I'm trying to get up to date. I do have the 360 and am trying to play my back up games as to keep the original ones unharmed. I have paid for the games, therefore I should be able to make copies of them without Microsoft banning me from the live service.

ms will ban u if they find out ur playing backups whether youve got the original or not, just make sure its stealth patched and u use a program to check that its all patched and legit like, i dont run back ups atm, so im not entirely sure what to use to check em, im sure someone will point u in the right direction! if ur interested in modding stuff, then an xbox1 is the way to go theres so much amazing homebre (home made software basically) and its easy to do on the first, im intending to get a replacement for mine at some piint as its a great media server and player look into the xbmc dashboard on xbox 1 its an amazing application!

Yep, firmware is the only way to run backups of games you own. Currently we only help VIP members out with this discussion but with all the info we have you will find it way worth it.
