Hi mate,

I cannot seem to find any name of the xVid type of codec, as both the name and the file type are xvid on gspot.

Also, I am not even sure if it is about unsupported codecs. The video plays absolutely fine but there is no audio. Surely if it was an unsupported codec, it would pop up with the status code for an unsupported codec and not play at all? I think it might be to do with the HDMI cable so when I go home next weekend, I am going to try with the standard RGB cables and see if any difference comes of it...fingers crossed.

Another reason I think it might be something to do with HDMI + the new dashboard is the fact that when a film works, HDMI pops up in green letters in the top right hand corner and when a film doesn't have any audio, HDMI does not pop up. Might be a sign that it is not syncing with audio or something?
