I have a question what modchip would you use the blaster 360 or the xeno top gear? I know the xeno top gear is older. Is it still able to work in the xbox 360. I just want to get one of these so I won't have to open the xbox everytime I want the flash the firmware. Thanks

I wouldn't recommend going with a mod chip as they require soldering and I think it is a lot better to open the xbox and dust it out whenever needed. I don't have any experiene with these chips nor know anyone who does.

I have seen a contraption that put two sata ports on the outside then when they were connected the 360 would boot from the dvd drive, when disconnected it would let you connect it directly to the pc.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

I have had both units.. They are nothing but trouble.. Sure they are ok if you want to backup info from your xbox 360 hdd to your pc but you can purchase an adapter for that..
