right im going shopping tomorrow ive seen all these cool controller mods and want to do one my self, what the heck do i need?

Well if you buy like a box arcade stick then you would need that, plus a spare xbox 360 controller.

Then you would have to solder the arcade stick button ends to the 360 controller and it will work like that.

what i dont understand is how im going to connect the wires from the controller to the buttons on the stick ive got, it looks like the sf acrade stick was designed for wires to be attached, i was wondering if i leave the mega drive board in as well, would i be able to high jack the pads of that.

Frozen, that tut looks very interesting. I have 2 sets of joysticks and buttons from an arcade machine and that looks very posible for me to do.

Do you know if there is any difference doing that with a wireless controller?

Wireless controllers would require you to power it with batteries.
