Well I've got a fair bit into it now. Figured I'd give my thoughts on it. I've done a little bit of reading up on others thoughts.

Got to say quite a few people are missing out on what Halo 3 brings to the table. The reason I loved Halo, is its story telling. It was one hell of a great game to play thru quite a few times.

Halo 2 wasn't really that great Imo due to switching back and forth from Mc to the Arbitor. I like the fact that Halo 3 is played out with Mc. I can understand that they used the Arbitor to futher the story and still enjoyed Halo 2.

I think Halo 3 has great graphics. I don't need uber realistic graphics to enjoy a game. Most of the people complaining about the graphics are the same people that say that gameplay is more important. Go figure lol. But the graphics are very believeable, and immersive.

I also didn't read up on any weapons, vehicles, or story dialoge. I am glad I didn't either, makes the game very fresh for me. I do recommend playing the game thru on heroic first. Tried it on Legendary and it was just way to hard. I will play thru on Legendary but I wanted to be able to follow along with the story, instead of taking a few hours per level and forgetting where the story is going.

But all in all, its worth the 60 bucks, and the long wait.

Time to get back and finish the fight lol.

Holy Crap!! I was banned during beta so i never played it. I was up until 4: am playing campaing and multiplayer and i think it kicks total arse. I can only imagine what it would look like if I had an HD tv.. To poor right now though..

Started campaing on normal.. WAY TOO EASY.. Gonna bump it up for sure.

Some weapons are definately slower, seems like you can die quicker (in multiplayer).

I love the multiplayer layout. AMAZING. I like being able to veto a map that you've played 900000 times in a row.

Cant wait to get all my work and school work done so I can play again tonight. GOOD STUFF

all i've got to say is....WOW!
my copy was supposed to have arrived tomorrow but it came today.. no complaints there!

i was getting ready to jump into a ffa match on halo2 when the ever sacred UPS guy knocks on my door. soooo.... i had to play it on the plasma before i locked it down on Live with my 17 in lcd.

holding myself back from Live isnt that bad since this puppy looks GREAT in HD!

been glued to my seat for the past 7 hrs blasting through on heroic and i must say..... with all these damn covenant running around i had to rethink my strategy at least twice in certain parts.

not beaten yet!! taking my time trying to blow things up in as many different ways as i can!

The only complaints i have about it are the interface (takes a little getting use to) but its not so bad. But, Im really dissapointed in the soundtrack. C'mon, they had Steve Vai last time around. I guess i expected something really stellar.
Other than that I think the game is awesome.
