Okay I'll make this short my Xbox 360 got the three red lights of death after I did absolutely nothing to it. Anyways when you send it in for repairs do you have to give them your Hard Drive. I don't want to because all my saved games and stuff are on it and even if they say theyll give it back I dont trust Microsoft. So do you have to send in your Hard Drive when getting your Xbox 360 repaired? Thanks in advance.

P.S. And does anyone no when the new project Falcon Xbox 360's come out I want one lol but I need my 360 back before Halo 3. Does anyone no how long it takes? Thanks.

no you just send the core unit...no cables, hard drive, or anything.

its a darn shame all the 360's crapping out...it seems like its not a percentage, its only a matter of time.

i dont think its more of a percentage for the new ones and a matter of time for the old ones, but if you keep it well ventelated it should work fine, 2 of my friends have the launch ones, one kept his in a cupbord others was on the floor the one in the cupbord died after about a year and a half

i had a launch one that i sold...it still works good, i put a talismoon fan in it though and it runs a ton cooler now. i can tell by feeling the back of the system. my elite runs alot hotter. i will be putting an aftermarked fan on the elite sometime soon.

Yeah the dum thing was I kept my Xbox 360 in excellent condition. It was in a place where it could breath and if it ever got too hot (which was rare) I would turn off my Xbox 360 and let it cool down.

You should be able to still send it in....especially if you havent registered it before just tell them when you are on the phone that you got it ten months ago or so (its just some dude in india that doesnt give a crap hes just there to input the info you give him)....they send you a box...you put only your xbox in it and no hdd and in less than a week you have a refurbished box sent to you....personally i was kinda pissed the first time i sent my box in since my original one still had the plastic on it and was in perfect condition but oh well, at least i got it replaced...i have gone through the process twice and i only play my xbox once a month or so and its in a well ventiallated area...oh well, good luck to you guys.
