i have a tv that will do max of 720p...do you think the picture from component to hdmi in 720p will be a substantial difference? or is that basically just when you are getting up into 1080i vs 1080p relating to hdmi?
thats the main reason i would get an elite is if the picture differential would be substantial enough. i dont care about the extra hard drive space...all i have is downloadable game content and game saves. i dont use it for my multimedia machine, just gaming.
any opinions?

For 720P it won't matter much unfortunately. There's practically no difference between 720P component and 720P HDMI. There's no reason you would not see all the details using 720P with component. Hell, component isn't bad at all for the 360 and the right TV as has been proven by comparisons of same like games on each system and Blueray vs 360 HDDVD.
Still it is up to you. We will all be able to upgrade to the 120gb anyway.
No huge advantages i can see to go and pre-order one thats for sure.
If it came with intergrated wi-fi or something special maybe i would consider it.
All i Know is that its gonna be less than when i payed for my 360 and then i payed extra or the 20 gig harddirive. what i really wanna know is can i trade my white 360 for a black 360????

whered you get your black night case...thats the one i was going to get. is it like a satin black like the OEM white case, or more of a smooth black?
did you get any controller case mods to match it?

I also have the black knight case, which looks sleek and sexy. No way am i buying the elite just for hdmi, as my Samsung plasma doesn't do 1080P so i see no real advantage to have the elite..
